The official centenary programme commenced on Wednedsday, 24 August 2005 and not withstanding the four climates that were experienced in our celebration thousands of people braved the Cape winter to attend the variety of programmes that were organised by the centenary committee.
The highlight of the opening was the procession of madaris led by the Habibia Siddique brigade and in the downpouring of the rahma of rain we were humbled by the enormous turnout of students, teachers, parents and other participants who attended the official opening of the new entrance and the hoisting of the Chisti flag which was symbolic of the selfless Islamic and spiritual path of the founding fathers of the Habibia Soofie Musjid. A commemorative plaque was unveiled by the centenary guest of honour Hazrat Habib Salees of Hyderabad in India and a dua was recited. The opening programme continued with an international naat programme by national and international guests from Pakistan. The beautiful praises of the prophet that was rendered indeed warmed the hearts and souls of all the people that filled the Musjid.
On Thursday the programme was an all day event that was dedicated to the worship of Allah in the form of a mass zikr which was equally well attended by one and all. This programme commenced with the Habibia primary school scholars in zkir of Allah. This later continued with the zkir by the Habibia junior madressa.
Friday , 26 August 2005, the build to the centenary programme came to fruition as attendance of the many programme started to grow substantially.
The Jummuah Programme was a national Khutbah prepared by the MJC in honour of the Musjid and it place in Muslim Society. (Highlights of Khutbah)

The Habibia Souk (trade fair and exhibition was offically opened by the guest of honour. The Sook. The souk represented the cultural tradition representative of early Muslim society. The atmosphere was as livley aas those early Muslim societies.
The exhibition housed various historical artifacts and exhibits of early Muslim history. This included amongst others a detailed history of the founders of the institution and their simple, but profound way of life. There were hand written kitaabs that were over five hundred years old on display including a sword that was presented to Hazrat Soofie Saheb by the Sultan of Zanzibar. The most though provoking and emotional aspects of the exhibition was the simple bedding of Hazrat Soofie Saheb which reflected his humility and focus towards remebrance of Allah rather than seeking the pleasures of the world.
The Saturday morning programme opened very early with the madressa quiz and art competition. This activity was a source of pleasure and enjoyment for the young within our Islamic context. The ladies Moolud was well attended after Zuhr salaah.
