A WORD FROM THE INCUMBENT IMAMS This brochure issued by our masjid is part of the national commemoration of the coming of Sufi Sahib (r.a.) to this country in 1895. The establishment of the Habibia of religious structures, especially the masjid, forms part of the work of this remarkable labourer in the cause of Islam. Later his work was continued by Maulana Abd al-Latif (r.a.) and other members of the families who settled and lived at the Habibia complex. We have issued this brochure also as part of our remembrance of these great sons of Islam, Sufi Sahib (r.a.) and Maulana Abd al-Latif (r.a.). By honouring them and their work, we are inspired to follow in their footsteps and to try and do the same in the cause of Islam. In this way their commemoration becomes worthwhile, and their names and contributions become part of all our histories. We are intensely proud to be associated with them and to help in our small way to keep their memory alive among the Muslim community in this country.
